Description We seek a talented individual to lead the system build activities (install, configure, change management, support testing activities, implement, support eight week build warrantee period) for the NU enterprise Outage Management System (NMS 1.11) and enterprise Outage Management Reporting System (Focal Point 6.6.5), which are tentatively scheduled to be implemented in releases between Q1-2015 and Q3-2015 for four electric operating companies (CL&P, PSNH, WMECO, and NSTAR). The system build will include two instances of the NMS and Focal Point systems along with all related interfaces and partner systems. The scope of the services will include the following:
(1) Plans and coordinates all aspects of technical/infrastructure build (install, configure, change management, support testing activities, implement, support eight week build warrantee period) from design through initiation and delivery.
(2) Serves as liaison between technical and non-technical teams, in internal organizations as well as in client and vendor/subcontractor organizations, to ensure targets and requirements are met.
(3) Analyze requests and seek additional detail required for prioritization and proper routing.
(4) Coordinates and directs the activities of build team according to the priorities set by the plan.
(5) Applies technical knowledge to drive and/or resolve highly complex technical issues.
(6) Partners with members of project team and other IT teams as appropriate to expedite the activities required by technical build activities.
(7) Identifies potential escalations and proactively alerts management, leads escalation and resolution process.
(8) Develops, defines and coordinate execution of technical build schedule, activities, budgets and deliverables.
(9) Coordinates and communicates on activities among internal technical groups.
(10) Monitors work of assigned team, providing technical and analytical support and direction.
(11) Manages risks, issues/problems, and activity progress to ensure goals are achieved. Assists with problem resolution or risk mitigation as needed.
(12) May manage the integration of vendor/subcontractor tasks, and track and review vendor/subcontractor deliverables, if appropriate for the scope.
(13) Delivers informational and decision-seeking presentations to technical and business groups as needed to drive resolution.
(14) Conducts documentation activities to formalize and communicate the delivery acceptance, handover documentation and ongoing activities to accountable teams and complete a post-implementation review to identify areas of improvement.
(15) Coordinate data refreshes and application code migrations (including vendor patches, partner system changes and interface changes) through the various test environments in support of the OMS project test phases.
(16) Performs additional related duties as assigned. The person selected for this position will be responsible for coordinating a team of 15-20 IT application and infrastructure professionals to build the system and will be responsible for working with the Project Manager, Test Manager, and Solution Architect to ensure the technical build occurs as designed and planned.
Candidate must be willing to work at multiple NU locations (CT, MA and NH) and also be able to work effectively with developers, testers, clients and other management personnel across geographies.
Candidates MUST HAVE the following Experience/Skills:
(1) A Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Business or closely related disciplines.
(2) Minimum 10 years of experience in an IT related environment.
(3) Minimum 5 years of experience in technical infrastructure disciplines.
(4) Proven track record in leading large scale build efforts.

Experience Preferred:
(1) Certification in infrastructure verticals.
Experience with the following is a plus:
(1) Windows Server / VMWare.
(2) IIS Web Servers.
(3) Citrix / Provisioning.
(4) UNIX AIX / Power HA.
(5) Oracle Database / RAC / EBS.
(6) Oracle WebLogic with clustering.
(7) Networking technology.
(8) Security technology.
(9) Clearcase.
(10) HA onsite & Disaster recovery / facility failover configuration.

The Ideal Candidate: Qualified candidate is expected to have extensive experience in leading large technical build efforts involving real time systems, COTS applications, custom applications and interfaces. Expertise is required in build coordination, build tracking (metrics) and reporting. Candidate is expected to have strong analytical and problem solving skills. Experience working in various software development life cycles models (example: agile, waterfall, etc.) is required. Experience in real-time operations systems in the Electric Utility industry is desired; such as OMS, Focal Point, CIS, GIS, IVR, Damage Assessment (Clearion), SCADA, and Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL) systems. Experience with distributed technologies, relational databases and knowledge of infrastructure technology (servers, workstations, IT security, etc.) is required. Candidate should be outgoing and enjoy working on a team. Individual in this position must demonstrate strong communication skills, including written, verbal and interpersonal skills. In addition to exceptional organizational and analytical skills, the successful candidate must demonstrate strong customer focus, team skills and project management skills. A proven track record of producing quality results within stringent timelines is required. Worksite Location: NU-Berlin, however, traveling between Berlin CT, Tolland CT, Westwood MA, and Manchester NH will be required for Project meetings and workshops. Possible Per Diem.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
