Summary: Individual plans, schedules, and coordinates engineering activities associated with the development, publication, and implementation of distribution materials and construction standards used by the operating companies for the construction, operation, and maintenance of the electric distribution system. The selected candidate will be the subject matter expert on select distribution equipment, assist with the evaluation of vendors and suppliers; interface with field organizations via Standards Visits, informational newsletters, and conduct construction audits of completed projects for compliance with industry code and company requirements. In addition, individual will provide instructional materials and support for Skills Enhancement & Refresher Training program instructors; provide technical direction to less experienced engineers; represent NU on industry committees; and perform most demanding engineering assignments. Individual must have excellent writing abilities and be able to write clearly and concisely create Distribution System Engineering Manual (DSEM) guidelines. Individual will also be responsible for the evaluation of failed equipment and conduct root cause analysis; and provide technical expertise to operating areas, NU departments, and outside agencies. Individual will also act for the immediate supervisor in his/her absence. Position Requirements: A Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or a related Engineering field, eight years of experience, and experience in Energy Delivery and distribution systems is required. Individual must have a thorough knowledge of applicable work practices, procedures, and safety requirements; and a have a detailed knowledge of technical aspects and business principles. A Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent degree is highly desired. This position is simultaneously being posted internally and externally.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
