Director of Sales and Business Development

Space Electronics, founded in 1959, is a leading test and measurement instrument company, located in Berlin CT. We build highly sensitive instruments that measure the properties of mass such as center-of-gravity, moment-of-inertia, and product-of-inertia. Our customers are primarily in the aerospace and defense industries, but we've got customers in other industries such as medical and sporting goods. We are a smart, creative, driven group looking to add a talented, like-minded individual to our team.

We're looking for an energetic, driven sales person who understands how to open doors and sell technical, complex products and solutions. We have some ideas on how and where, but we're busy handling our current volume of business. To grow, we need more time to develop sales. You will identify which opportunities are worth pursuing and help develop the strategies for their growth. You will cold call, cultivate new contacts, attend tradeshows, and travel to prospective and existing customers, both domestically and globally. You will take potential opportunities and turn them into real sales - from talking technical to the engineers to negotiating the final figures with purchasing. We are entrepreneurial - you will help develop new solutions for new and existing customers. We are small - you'll be hands on and front line. We are driven - you will help drive our growth.
