The selected candidates will work as a member of the Information Technology (IT) Program Management Office (PMO) and is responsible for overseeing the IT execution (from both an application and infrastructure standpoint) of the Facilities Consolidation Project in CT & NH.

Project Specific Role:
Each PM will be responsible for the coordination and execution of all IT aspects of Facility Consolidation related projects in CT & NH.

This includes:
The IT aspects of multiple Facility closures in both CT & NH.
The IT aspects of the CL&P Systems Operation Center (SOC) relocating from a temporary space back into the renovated space.
The IT aspects of vacating from a facility in CT and relocating systems (SCADA, Radio, Paging, Circuits, etc.) to various locations within CT.
The IT aspects of populating 3 new Regional Emergency Operation Centers (EOCs) in CT.
The IT aspects of moving a transmission operations center in NH to different facility.
Each PM will be managing a scheduler that supports all facility projects in CT & MA.

IT aspects include the coordination of:
LAN work (cabling, phones).
WAN work (circuits).
IT Security related work (firewall rules).
SCADA work.
AVTEC Voice Dispatch Radio work (a separate AVTEC project's schedule needs to align with this schedule).
Telecom radio work (moving antennas on different towers, etc.).
Moving computers, printers, and plotters.

The Project Managers will be responsible to deliver these projects to completion and own the cost, schedule and risks for the project. The Project Manager will manage multiple tracks, business and technical resources, consultants and vendors contracted to deliver solutions.

General Responsibilities include:
The successful candidates will be responsible for managing all aspects of project delivery including budget, schedule, scope, weekly meetings, risks and issues; providing clear and accurate weekly and monthly project reporting and forecasting; acting as a champion to foster a positive project work environment; and successfully lead the team to accomplish all the project objectives on time and on budget.
Candidate must have experience in managing the relocation of technology systems and infrastructure to different facilities.
Candidates must have must have strong verbal and written communications skills; strong interpersonal skills; be extremely organized; and be able to extract pertinent information from various subject matter experts and organize this information into a schedule with the required dependencies.
The successful candidates will be fully knowledgeable and proficient in all aspects of the project management Body of Knowledge.
The candidates must have demonstrated experience successfully managing large complex projects with multiple tracks and be able to cite practical examples of this including example deliverables.
Candidates must have experience with the MS project scheduling tools.
The successful candidates must be a high energy, detail oriented individual who will demonstrate: high caliber communication, leadership and people skills; strong organizational skills; and the ability to successfully initiate, track, report and close projects.
The successful candidates will demonstrate a proven ability to collaborate and coordinate activities with diverse groups, including stakeholders, sponsors, leads, vendors, other project managers, and technical staff; a strong process orientation including producing high quality documentation artifacts; and a sound working understanding of IT concepts and the IT design & delivery life cycle.
The successful candidates also will demonstrate the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization from administrative and technical staff to executive Steering Committees, and also the ability to plan and execute Organizational Change Management to ensure that the technical solution delivered is fully accepted and used, and provides solid business value.
Experience wtih IT Supplier onshore/offshore model a plus.
Helpful to summarize experience in the submittal notes and highlight their experience in large, complex projects, relocation and/or consolidation projects, offshore/onshore experience and also experience using MS Project. Please include these in the notes and make sure that if they have that experience, it is listed on the resume. Candidate will be working on Facilities Consolidation Projects. PMI (Project Management Institute) certification as a PMP (Project Management Professional) is preferred.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
